First Baptist Church Etowah Tennessee wanted new stained glass windows. Their sanctuary windows were 6’ x 18’. We removed the existing fiber glass panes and installed new aluminum double channel frames which we designed and fabricated. On the exterior we installed 1/4” clear glass. On the interior we installed our stained glass. The church wanted glass that looked good from both the interior and the exterior. The church felt that a simple design would more accurately reflect their beliefs. We proposed this design which is simple yet elegant. At the bottom of each window is a memorial plate or a Bible verse. After completing the sanctuary windows, the church asked us to replace the fiber glass in the front porch lamps with glass that matches our windows. Upon inspection we found several problems that needed to be addresses. We removed their lamps, sandblasted them, painted them black, rewired them, and reinstalled them. It is a good thing that we did, because the finial at the top of the lamp had rubbed against the chain so much that it had almost worn through (see photo 9). We are presently making stained glass windows for several of the other smaller windows around the church.
